Courses accredited with CHP and CThA
Lomilomi Massage differs from many other forms of massage, being not only a deeply
therapeutic bodywork massage but also given with an awareness of energy and the
intention to bring harmony and balance to the mind body and spirit. Zanna Parkinson has
been practicing Lomilomi massage since 2004 having originally leant from a Hawaiian
elder know to her as Aunty on The Big Island, Hawaii. She is also qualified in other
forms of massage including Sports Massage and Pregnancy Massage. In 2014 she fulfilled
one of her dreams and returned to Hawaii staying with an elder on Molokai, and attending
his course on Ola (Hawaiian health and Spirituality). Zanna has been a full time
therapist since 2007 and gained her PTLLS teaching qualifications in 2013, she is happy
to be able to pass on her knowledge of Hawaii and Lomi Lomi.
Lomilomi Massage Intensive Course
CPD Credits: 20
The HunaQuest Intensive Lomilomi Massage Course is recognised and fully accredited with the CThA and CHP. During the course you will be taught the skills and techniques required to perform a full body Lomilomi Massage treatment. 85% of this course is practical – giving and receiving lomilomi, learning a framework of strokes that can be adapted for each individual treatment. We will also cover breath work, focus and an awareness of energy. There will be an introduction to the Hawaiian philosophy behind lomilomi which includes pule (prayer) and ho'oponopono (to make right).
Throughout the course you will be provided with full colour handouts including picture sequences and descriptions of all the framework lomilomi strokes.
This four day course is split into two sections giving time to practice in between, and with a maximum of 4 people per course you will receive individual tuition. Candidates are required to already have a bodywork qualification with anatomy & physiology level 3.

Private Lomilomi Massage Courses can be arranged for a minimum of two participants
Accredited courses require a total of 4 day which can be organised as one day a week for 4 weeks, or two 2 day sessions.

Lavender Heal is a complementary therapy clinic offering a calm and inviting space for independent therapists. It has four treatment rooms plus a studio and is a short walk from Clapham Junction station.

Evolve is a yoga and therapy centre in the heart of South Kensington. It has three studios, a seminar room, a couple of treatment rooms and shower facilities. There is also a small lounge area with free herbal teas and filtered water.
